Table format migration #

Starburst Galaxy supports the migration from Hive to Iceberg table format.

For migrating Hive to Iceberg, Galaxy has a single table function to accomplish the migration process. See more information on the Hive table format page.

For other migrations, set up some SQL to ETL – extract from one set of files to another. Due to Great Lakes connectivity, you do not need separate catalog connections. Both to and from sets of files can live in the same bucket.
