    Starburst Galaxy supports the different file formats according to the table format in use.

    File formats for Iceberg #

    The Iceberg table format supports the following file formats:

    • Apache Orc (default)
    • Apache Parquet
    • Apache Avro

    File formats for Delta Lake #

    The Delta Lake table format is optimized for the Apache Parquet file format.

    File formats for Hive #

    The Hive table format supports the following file formats:

    • Apache Orc (default)
    • Apache Parquet
    • Apache Avro
    • JSON
    • CSV
    • TEXTFILE
    • RCTEXT
    • RCBINARY
    • SEQUENCEFILE
