Schedule jobs #

Starburst Galaxy provides several ways to perform maintenance tasks on a set schedule:

• SQL jobs run SQL statements.
• Materialized view refresh jobs update materialized views.
• Data classification jobs automatically classify data in catalogs, schemas, tables, or views in order to apply attribute tags to that data.
• Data maintenance jobs run table maintenance tasks that improve performance and reduce storage.
  • Perform data maintenance on multiple Apache Iceburg tables. For object storage catalogs only.
  • Perform data maintenance on individual Delta Lake, Hive, and Hudi tables.
