    By default, Starburst Galaxy features are released in general availability (GA) state and are considered to be complete and documented. Because of the nearly continuous pace of Galaxy releases, feature documentation may lag by a week or more.

    Some features can be released in preview status, and are documented as such in the documentation and in the product as needed. The following table describes what to expect from the various feature release types.

    Feature type Description Documentation
    Private preview Early feature testing, limited to a select group of accounts giving active feedback. Not supported for production use cases. Minimal or no external documentation
    Public preview Early access feature release, available for all accounts but not supported for production use cases. Partial or complete
    General availability Feature is launched and stable for production. Galaxy features are in the GA state unless documented otherwise. Complete
