    Use the following steps to securely connect your Starburst Galaxy cluster to Snowflake using AWS PrivateLink.

    You must work with a Starburst technical resource to complete your PrivateLink configuration. Contact your account team for more information.

    You must configure a separate AWS PrivateLink connection for each catalog you want to connect to Starburst Galaxy.

    Allow Starburst Galaxy access to Snowflake #

    To allow Starburst Galaxy access to your Snowflake account using AWS PrivateLink, you must complete the following steps:

    Add the Galaxy CIDR to a network rule #

    1. In your Snowflake account, create a new network rule. For assistance, see the Snowflake documentation.
    2. In the Comma-separated identifiers field, add the Starburst Galaxy CIDR block 172.16.0.0/16.

    Add the rule to a network policy #

    In your Snowflake account, add your newly created network rule to a new or existing network policy. For assistance, see the Snowflake documentation.

    As the final step, contact your Starburst technical resource to complete your PrivateLink configuration.
