Hex is a collaborative workspace for exploratory analytics and data science. Hex connects to Starburst to power complex data science, data apps, and interactive insights on huge datasets, all at incredible speeds.
Connecting Hex to Starburst Galaxy, Starburst Enterprise, and Trino clusters provide the following advantages:
- More flexibility when choosing data sources to use when building notebooks and applications through Hex.
- You can read from multiple sources within a single SQL cell.
- You can write to multiple sources within a single SQL cell.
Requirements #
Hex
- Access to a Hex account.
Starburst/Trino
- Starburst Galaxy
- Starburst Enterprise 354-e STS or newer
- Trino 351 or newer
Connection #
You can connect Hex to your Starburst Galaxy, Starburst Enterprise and Trino clusters by following the instructions in the Data connections documentation provided by Hex.
