Deploy with CFT on AWS#
Note
As of 474-e, the AWS CloudFormation Template (CFT) deployment method is deprecated and will be removed in a future release. Support will continue through May 2026. Starburst recommends that you migrate to an alternative deployment method, such as Amazon EKS, prior to May 2026. Contact your Starburst account team with questions or feedback.
Starburst Enterprise platform (SEP) can be run on Amazon Web Services (AWS) as provider for all aspects of the required infrastructure. This includes using AWS CloudFormation for provisioning, Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) for storage, Amazon Machine Images (AMI) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) for computes, Amazon Glue as metadata catalog, and others.
This chapter covers all the above.
Usage of Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) is covered in the general Kubernetes section.
