Use Starburst Portal to orchestrate multiple SEP clusters for advanced enterprise use cases such as load balancing and workload isolation.

Load balancing

Load balancing is a workload management strategy that lets you scale a workload beyond what a single SEP cluster can handle by spreading queries across multiple clusters. Use Starburst Portal to automatically distribute queries to clusters within a routing group based on the existing workload of each cluster. For more information, see Load balancing.

Workload isolation

Workload isolation is a workload management strategy that prevents dissimilar workloads from interfering with each other by ensuring they run on separate SEP clusters. Use Starburst Portal to automatically route queries from different workloads to different routing groups based on criteria you specify. For more information, see Workload isolation.
