Catalog explorer #
Access the user interface to manage and explore catalogs from the Catalogs item in the main navigation. Explore the nested schemas, tables, and columns of a catalog without running a cluster with catalog explorer.
Catalog explorer allows users to browse through the metadata of a catalog to view schemas, tables, views, and columns. You can see which schema and tables exist and what columns and data they contain to create queries using the information you discover.
From the list of catalogs, click a catalog name to open the catalog explorer pane for that catalog.
Catalog explorer pane #
Use the catalog explorer pane on the left to explore the schemas, tables, and columns of a catalog.
The catalog explorer pane shows an expandable, hierarchical view with the following symbols:

To expand an element, click its Expand icon. To collapse an element, click its Collapse icon.
Click a catalog’s name to collapse all schemas under it. Similarly, click a schema to collapse all tables and views under it, and click a table or view to collapse its column list.
